Distribution. Western Europe and parts of central Europe. Portugal: two northern provinces.

Ecology. This species has been collected in a brackish marsh and a park in Portugal. In northwestern Europe, it prefers rather dark swamps, both on loamy and sandy soils ( Pollet et al. 1992).

Rarity (%). 2.3 (rare). Fairly common (FL).

Activity period. June–August.
