Number of specimens recorded. 6.

Distribution. Restricted to the western part of Europe (incl. the Mediterranean region); also North Africa. Portugal: three provinces, all over the country.

Ecology. Similar distribution over macrohabitat categories as previous species. In northwestern Europe, H. verbekei is mainly found in marshlands and reedmarshes in the coastal region ( Pollet 1993).

Rarity (%). 3.4 (rare). Rare (FL).

Activity period. September–October.
