Distribution. Europe; also North Africa. Portugal: seven provinces, all over the country.

Ecology. Mainly found in agricultural landscapes, in marshes and on riverbanks. In northwestern Europe, this riparian species also prefers open, muddy habitats along both stagnant and running water bodies.

Rarity (%). 10.3 (common). Common (FL).

Activity period. March, May, July–September.
