Type locality: ‘Bay of Montijo, west coast of America; in fifteen fathoms’. Label locality: ‘Bay of Montijo, west coast of America, 15 fms’. Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1968240/1 and 2 paralectotypes NHMUK 1968240/2-3 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype (Cernohorsky, 1969: 214).
