Type locality: ‘ Panama, Monte Christi , St. Elena , west coast of America ; in from six to ten fathoms'. Label locality: ‘ Punta St. Elena, West Colombia , 6 to 8 fms’’ ( NHMUK 1968234 View Materials /1-3), ‘ Monte Christi, West Colombia, 14 fms’ ( NHMUK 1979125 View Materials ) .
Type material: Lectotype NHMUK 1968234/1, 2 paralectotypes NHMUK 1968234/2-3 and 3 paralectotypes NHMUK 1979125 (H. Cuming collection). Indirect lectotype selection by inference of holotype ( Cernohorsky, 1969: 212).
