Type locality: ‘Les Iles Philippines’.

Label locality: ‘Philippines’.

Type material: Probable syntype NHMUK 1979101 (H. Cuming collection). Remarks: Cernohorsky (1969: 217): ‘there is one specimen in the type collection which is most probably the holotype and measures 24.4X 4.8 mm. Deshayes’ stated dimensions [29X 9 mm] are obvious an error, since the given width in relation to the total length is out of proportion for such a slender species of Terebra ’.
