- Limnophyes was one of the more common of the small orthoclad taxa collected (~8% of total mounted catch). Two species were collected: L. mariae (38 specimens) and the much more common L. guatemalensis (142 specimens), both described from Guatemala by Sublette & Sasa (1994) .
