Genus Rhabdomiris Wagner 1968 View in CoL View at ENA

Rhabdomiris Wagner, 1968: 157 View in CoL (as subgenus of Calocoris View in CoL ; upgraded by Rosenzweig, 1997: 168). Type species: Cimex quadripunctatus Villers, 1789 (= Lygaeus striatellus Fabricius, 1794 ).

Diagnosis: Differs from other representatives of Mirini as follows: body somewhat large (more than 7 mm) and elongated (width/length ratio: 0.38); antennae long and thin, not clavate, first antennal segment longer than head width; head and scutellum covered with sparse short pubescence; pronotum glossy without pubescence; dark brown stripes along veins on hemelytron present ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ); left paramere with noticeable long process; endosoma with long spicule and three sclerites, lateral sclerite II with tiny spinules, medial sclerite bifurcated; interramal lobe of female genitalia with small spinules ( Figs. 2–4 View FIGURE 2 View FIGURE 3 View FIGURE 4 ).

Notes: Rhabdomiris was erected as a subgenus of Calocoris by Wagner (1968). After that, Rosenzweig (1997) upgraded Rhabdomiris as genus-level taxon based on the distinct genital morphology of both sexes, and indicated that this genus did not display relationships with other genera in the tribe Mirini . Recently, Kim & Jung (2019) published comprehensive phylogenetic study of Mirinae , supporting that this genus is not related with Calocoris and is an independent lineage based on morphological and molecular data.
