Notosciomyza dubia Malloch, 1933: 303 View in CoL (fig. 56a), 313–315, 317 (fig. 57a–b). Holotype. Male (NHMUK), Lake Nahuel Huapi , eastern end.

Syntypes. Male and female ( MNHN), Ecuador, Cuencas .

Distribution. Argentina: Buenos Aires, Chubut, Córdoba, Corrientes, Jujuy, La Rioja, Mendoza, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Tucumán. Bolivia: La Paz (Achacachi 2 km N). Brazil: Rio Grande do Sul. Chile: Región de Atacama: Copiapó Province (Nantoco); Región de Coquimbo: Choapa Province (Hacienda Illapael, Illapel); Región de Valparaíso: Valparaíso Province (Casablanca), Marga Marga Province (Marga Marga), Los Andes Province (Los Andes), San Antonio Province (Barrancas, San Antonio); Región Metropolitana de Santiago: Santiago Province (El Noviciado, Santiago 15 km S), Talagante Province (Talagante), Cordillera Province (Baños Morales, Los Maitenes); Región del Maule: Maule Province (Curanipe); Región del Biobío: Concepción Province (Escuadrón), Biobío Province (Los Ángeles, Salto del Laja); Región de La Araucanía: Malleco Province (Angol); Región de Los Lagos: Osorno Province (no precise locality), Llanquihue Province (Ensenada, Lago Llanquihue); Región de Aysén: General Carrera Province (Chile Chico); Región de Magallanes y la Antártica Chilena: Última Esperanza Province (Cueva del Milodón, Laguna Azul), Magallanes Province (Punta Arenas), Tierra del Fuego Province (Bahía Inútil).
