Parque Nacional Calilegua, 550 m, 18/XII/1987, flight intercept trap, S. & J. Peck ( UTIC, 1); SALTA (new province record): Parque Nacional El Rey, 890 m, 15/XII/1987, UV light trap, S. & J. Peck ( UTIC, 1). Previously cited from Misiones province, this species also occurs in Bolivia and Brazil .

Corthylus alienus Schedl : SALTA (new province record): Parque Nacional El Rey, 1,000 m, 5/XII/ 1987, flight intercept trap, yungas forest, S. & J. Peck ( UTIC, 1). Previously cited from Tucumán province, this species also occurs in Peru .

Corthylus serrulatus Eggers : TUCUMÁN (new province record): Famaillá, 17/XI/2016, trampa multiembudo, S. P. Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, ( IFML, 21); SALTA (new province record): Alto de la Sierra, 1,550 m, 2/XII/1987, flight intercept trap, S. & J. Peck ( UTIC, 3); SALTA: Parque Nacional El Rey, 1,000 m, 5/XII/1987, flight intercept trap, yungas forest, S. & J. Peck ( UTIC, 5); same data except 900 m ( UTIC, 1). Previously reported from Jujuy province, C. serrulatus is also known from Bolivia and Peru .

Cryptocarenus diadematus Eggers (new country record): JUJUY: R´ıo Ledesma, 12 km S Ledesma, 27/XII/1987, S. & J. Peck ( TAMU, 1). This species is widely distributed in the Neotropical Region .

Euwallacea posticus (Eichhoff) (= Xyleborus posticus Eichhoff ) (new country record): TUCUMÁN: Famaillá, 15/XII/2016, S. P. Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, Piper tucumanum , (IFML, 15). Euwallacea posticus is widely distributed in the Neotropical Region.

Hypothenemus eruditus Westwood : TUCUMÁN (new province record): Famaillá , 17/XI/2016, trampa multiembudo, S. P . Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, ( IFML, 3). Previously reported from Corrientes and Buenos Aires (Del R´ıo et al. 2005), this cosmopolitan species is found in all tropical and subtropical regions of the world.

Hypothenemus gossypii (Hopkins) (new country record): SANTIAGO DEL ESTERO: R´ıo Salado , XI/1979 ( BMNH, 1) .

Loganius flavicornis Chapuis (= Cnemonyx flavicornis (Chapuis)) : ENTRE RIOS (new province record): Colón, 29/XII/1991, ultraviolet light, Archangelsky ( CAS, 1). Previously reported from Buenos Aires, this species inhabits lowland tropical forests from southern Mexico to Argentina .

Microborus boops Blandford (new country record): JUJUY: R´ıo Ledesma , 12 km S Ledesma, 500 m, 27/XII/1987, S. & J. Peck ( TAMU, 4). This species lives in lowland tropical forests from

southern Mexico to Argentina . This is also the first record of this genus from Argentina .

Pagiocerus frontalis (Fabricius) : TUCUMÁN (new province record): Famaillá, 04/IV/2017, colls. S. P. Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, trampa multiembudo, (IFML, 6). Pagiocerus frontalis breeds in seeds of Lauraceae , notably species of Persea Mill. and stored maize. Previously, Costilla and Coronel (1994) cited this species as Pagiocerus fiorii Eggers without specifying any location. It is widely distributed in tropical regions of the New World.

Scolytus rugulosus (Muller) : LA RIOJA (new province record): Santa Cruz, 31/X/2003, Malaise trap, humid ravine, L. Stange (FSCA, 2); same data except 15/II/2005, L. Stange and P. Fidalgo (FSCA, 1). Scolytus rugulosus is reported from Buenos Aires, Mendoza, and Misiones provinces. This European species has been introduced into temperate regions of North and South America where it is a secondary pest of cultivated peaches, plums, and apricots (genus Prunus L., Rosaceae ).

Scolytus submarginatus Schedl (new country record): JUJUY: San Salvador de Jujuy , 21/X/ 1968, C. W. & L. B. O’ Brien ( CAS, 1). This species is known from southern Brazil and Paraguay .

Theoborus theobromae Hopkins (new country record): TUCUMÁN, Famaillá, 15/XII/2016, S. P. Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, Piper tucumanum (IFML, 34). This species inhabits lowland tropical forests from southern Mexico to Argentina .

Xyleborinus saxeseni (Ratzeburg) : TUCUMÁN (new province record): Famaillá, 16/V/2016. S. P. Córdoba & E. A. Mendoza, Persea americana Mill var Hass, (IFML,8); SALTA (new province record): El Ucumar, 22 km N La Caldera, 1,550 m, 2/XII/1987, Malaise trap, S. & J. Peck (TAMU, 1); SALTA: Parque Nacional El Rey, 800 m, 6/XII/ 1987, Malaise trap, Prosopis forest, S. & J. Peck (TAMU, 1); same data except 900 m, 5/XII/1987, (TAMU, 1); same data except 950 m, 11/XII/1987 (TAMU, 8). Xyleborinus saxeseni is already recorded from Buenos Aires and Entre Rios provinces. This Eurasian species has been introduced into all temperate and subtropical regions of the world.

This species was previously reported from Chaco, Formosa, Misione,s and Tucumán provinces ( Viana 1964). It is found in all tropical, subtropical, and humid warm temperate
