Discussion. This species was originally described from the USA from Florida (type locality) and Mississippi and also from Peru ( Wirth 1953). It was subsequently recorded from Panama by Wirth (1974), and Maryland , USA by Wirth & Grogan (1981) who provided detailed illustrations of several female characters and male genitalia. It was first recorded from Mexico by Huerta et al. (1999) from the state of Yucatan based on several specimens collected with Malaise and CDC traps. We provide additional new Mexican records from the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz.
