Cheliplana hawaiiensis n. sp.

Species of Cheliplana with a 28–37-μm-long proboscis with 10–18-μm-long hook supports, bearing 18–20-μmlong hooks. Proboscis sidepieces straight. Non-sclerotised rods bearing a single bristle. Oral tube lined with spines. Cirrus 30–68 μm long (overall length depending on the state of contraction of the cirrus) and divided into three distinct parts: (1) a proximal part, 18–20 μm long, 7–16 μm wide and armed with fine spines, (2) a distal part, 12–34 μm long and armed with 8-μm-long spines, and (3) a ring of 5-6 large spines set in sclerotised pockets, situated between the cylindrical proximal and distal parts.
