Type species. Strioderes peruanus Giorgi, 2001 View in CoL (original designation).
The genus Strioderes View in CoL currently contains one described species, known from Brazil and Peru. Nearns et al. (2011) provided a color photograph of the male holotype specimen. The third known specimen and first known female of S. peruanus View in CoL is described below.
