Basionym:— Drepanolejeunea geisslerae Pócs View in CoL , Candollea 56(1): 70. 2001 ( Pócs 2001). Type:— MADAGASCAR. Prov. Antsiranana: “Réserve Spéciale de Manongarivo (13°59′N, 48°26′E), Prov. Antsiranana, Nord-Quest de Madagascar”, abundant on palm stem, 950−1050 m, 5 March 1999, P. Geissler 19559 (holotype: G!, isotype: EGR!, HSNU! ex EGR, TAN).

Habitat and distribution:—Corticolous and epiphyllous at altitudes of 800−1869 m, known only from Madagascar ( Pócs 2001; Marline et al. 2012).
