Scolia fuscipennis Bartlett, 1912

Female. Unknow. In the description that Bartlett (1912) made, he mentions that the description was made from two males collected in Veracruz and the female is not mentioned .

Male. Body length 20.2 mm (20.2 mm 20.2 mm); forewing length 16 mm; Structure. Clypeus, interantennal area, frons, and vertex densely and coarsely punctured; gena striate; mesosoma coarsely punctured; propodeum densely and coarsely punctate throughout; hind tibial spurs acute. Genitalia ( Fig. 43B ). Parameres shorts; tip curved, ventral face polished wih some sparse setae; volsellae with short sparse setae. Color. Setae entirely black; yellow spot behind the eye; propodeum with wide band on each side; mesoscotum, scutellum with yellow spot; propodeum with wide yellow spots on each side and in the middle; T1–T4 and S2 with wide yellow spots on each side; wings dark with violaceous reflections ( Fig. 27 ).

Distribution. NT. Mexico: Veracruz ( Map 7 ).
