Triscolia badia Saussure, 1863

Female. Body length 27.4 mm (range 22.2 mm – 30.2 mm); forewing length 20.4 mm; Structure. Lateral margins of clypeus punctured; interantennal area striate with some punctures; frons, vertex, gena with scattered punctures; mesosoma densely and coarsely punctured; propodeum densely and coarsely punctate throughout; hind tibial spurs acute. Color. Setae and body completely ferruginous; wings dark with blue reflections ( Fig. 40 View FIGURE 40 ).

Male. Body length 17.6 mm (range 15.6 mm – 20.3 mm); forewing length 14.7 mm; Structure. Lateral margins of clypeus punctured; interantennal area densely punctured; frons, vertex, gena with scattered punctures; mesosoma coarsely punctured; propodeum densely and coarsely punctate throughout. Genitalia ( Fig. 43I View FIGURE 43 ). Base of parameres thin, after triangle; ventral face polished with setae in the endges; volsellae with short sparse setae. Color. Setae and body ferruginous, with black spots in interantennal area, frons, vertex and mesoscotum; wings resembling females ( Fig. 41 View FIGURE 41 )

Distribution. NA. Mexico: Baja California, Baja California Sur ( Map 8 View MAP 8 ). United States of America (Barlett 1912; Betrem & Bradley 1964).
