Shewanella fidelis LPB 0180

Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod shaped. Colonies are ivory color, circular, convex, and smooth after incubation on MA at 25℃ for 3 days under aerobic conditions. Strain is positive for nitrate reduction, esculin hydrolysis (weak), gelatinase, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for glucose fermentation, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, urease, β-galactosidase, and utilization of glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid in API 20NE. Strain LPB0180 (= NIBRBAC000501009) was isolated from seawater from Munseom , Jeju-do, Republic of Korea .
