Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and cocci shaped. Colonies are cream color, circular, and convex after incubation on R2 A at 30℃ for 3 days under aerobic conditions. Strain is positive for nitrate reduction, arginine dihydrolase, gelatinase, and utilization of glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, urease, esculin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase, and cytochrome oxidase in API 20NE. However , utilization of maltose showed both positive and negative activity. Strain 16_H2_M14 (= NIBRBAC000501073) was isolated from manure from Guri, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea .
