Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and rod shaped. Colonies are cream color, circular, convex, and smooth after incubation on MA at 25℃ for 3 days. Strain is positive for esculin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase, and cytochrome oxidase; but negative for nitrate reduction, glucose fermentation, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and utilization of glucose, arabinose, mannose, mannitol, N- acetyl-glucosamine, maltose, potassium gluconate, malic acid, capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid. Strain KYW1359 (= NIBRBAC000501128) was isolated from seawater from Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do, Republic of Korea.
