Harmothoe notochaetosa , HOLOTYPE: Puerto de Isla de Isabel II, Islas Chafarinas, EspanÄa, 3 m, 35ss10¾48 ² N 2ss25¾03 ² W, September 1991, leg. LoÂpez and San MartõÁn, MNCN 16.01 About MNCN /3077 (all elytra missing!) . PARATYPES: 1 spm., Isla Rey Francisco , Islas Chafarinas, 6 m, 8 September 1992, MNCN 16.01 About MNCN /3078 (in bad shape, but elytron present). 1 spm., Isla Isabel II, Islas Chafarinas, 24 m, 22 June 1993, MNCN 16.01 About MNCN /3079 (in bad shape) .
Diagnosis. Anterior pair of eyes dorsolaterally on widest part of prostomium. Elytra: margin with long fringing papillae; surface covered by thorn-shaped pointed microtubercles and few scattered papillae, with a row of slender thorn-shaped macrotubercles near posterior margin. Dorsal and ventral tentacular cirri and dorsal cirri papillate, tapering. Notochaetae distinctly more numerous than neurochaetae.
