Literak, O. Sychra and M. Capek GoogleMaps ; 10 males and 5 females ( ZISP 6166– 6181 View Materials ), same host, COSTA RICA, Rincón de la Vieja National Park , Cordillera de Guanacaste Mts., 10°46'N, 85°18'W, 800 m, 21 August 2009, collectors I. This species was previously known only from the type host, Sittasomus griseicapillus , in Brazil ( Hernandes et al. 2007). This is the first report of Platyacarus sittasomi from this host in Costa Rica.
