(9) Martens (2001) revised the taxonomy of the subfamily Herpetocypridinae Kaufmann, 1900 ,

and placed the genera Parastenocypris Hartmann, 1964 and Gesa Hartmann, 1964 into the synonymy of the genus Chrissia Hartmann, 1957 . Here, we also assign species of Parastenocypris and Gesa to Chrissia for which the ‘new combination’ was not expressly designated.
