Remarks: Very similar to Enicospilus repentinus (Holmgren, 1860) , but with the face and temples considerably narrower and the lateral ocelli larger, touching inner margin of compound eye. Enicospilus affinis Hedwig, 1957 (p. 107) stat. rev., synonymized with E. ocellatus by Horstmann (1981), is excluded from synonymy with E. ocellatus and reinstated as a valid species.
