Remarks: A parasitoid primarily reared from Hadena Schrank, 1802 ( Lepidoptera ; Noctuidae ) species. Ophion ellenae is a habitant of xerothermic grasslands known from most parts of Europe. The species is here reported for the first time from the Middle East. Notably the Iranian specimens have the hind femur quite slender, almost as in O. scutellaris Thomson. The dates of collection indicate two generations.
