Epimethea variegata Morawitz, 1875b: 62 , ♀, ♂.

Type locality: Gyumri ( Armenia).

Published (original) locality: “Alexandropol und Achalzych”.

Lectotype (designated here): ♂, golden circle // Alexandropol [ Armenia, Gyumri, 40°47′N 43°50′E] // variegate Mor., ♂, Typ. [handwritten by F. Morawitz] // Lectotypus Epimethea variegata Morawitz, 1875 , design. Astafurova & Proshchalykin, 2024 <red label> // Zoological Institute St. Petersburg INS_HYM_0002564 .

Paralectotypes: 4 ♀, 7 ♂, the same label as in the lectotype.

Current status. Camptopoeum (Epimethea) variegatum (Morawitz, 1875) (according to Patiny 1999b: 314).

Distribution. North Africa, south-eastern Europe, Near East, Turkey, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Iran ( Warncke 1985, 1987; Ascher & Pickering 2024).
