Holotype male seen; in good condition.
Diagnosis. Body length 4.5–5.9 mm; general colour brown with grey pollinosity; scutum with 3 brown vittae, the median one not reaching scutellum; palpus brown; coxae grey pollinose, fore leg blackish-brown, except knee and base of tibia; mid and hind femora yellow translucent, blackish-brown on apical third, knees and base of mid and hind tibia yellow, tarsi blackish-brown; arista with short hairs; proboscis strong and teeth well-developed; scutellum with both pairs of setae, the basal one delicate, shorter and finer than the apical one, with setulae on disc; anterior katepisternal very fine, contrasting with the long lower and posterior ones; upper calypter short, lower one about 2.5 times as long as upper one; haltere yellow; mid and hind coxae with setulae on hind margin; hind tibia with one anterior, one anterodorsal and one posterodorsal inserted at the same level, the posterodorsal shorter; sternite 5 as in Fig. 74 View FIGURES 65 – 76 .
