Holotype male seen ( Figs 13–16 View FIGURES 1 – 20 ); in good condition.
Diagnosis. General colour brown; scutum brown with grey pollinosity and with 5 brown vittae; palpus brown; legs yellow with tarsi and apex of femora brown; arista short-haired; scutellum with only the basal pair of setae; anterior katepisternal weak; katepisternum with some fine hairs on disc; lower calypter about twice as long as the upper one; haltere yellow; fore tibia without a median seta; hind tibia with one short anterior and one anterodorsal seta.
Notes. The species keys out as an isolated species in the group key and can be easily identified by the absence of the apical scutellar pair of setae. Only female paratypes.
