Distribution: It occurs in Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru ( Rico-Arce 2007); in Brazil according to Flora do Brasil (2020) it occurs only in Amazonia and Bahia, but to records found in several unlisted states, including Paraná.

Reproductive period: In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in fruit in June.

Diagnostic characteristics: Arboreal species, according to Rico-Arce (2007) S. loretensis is very similar and closely related to S. polyphylla ; S. loretensis has 8–17 pairs of pinnae and narrower leaflets (to 1 mm wide), while S. polyphylla , usually has 5–12 pairs of pinnae and its leaflets are 1.5–3 mm wide.

Conservation: Native-NE.
