40. Macroptilium erythroloma (Martius. ex Bentham 1837: 77) Urban (1928: 457) . ( Fig. 6E and F )

Distribution: In Brazil it occurs in the South, Southeast, Central-west regions and in Bahia in the Northeast ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Céu Azul area.

Reproductive period: According to Snak et al. (2011) it flowers and fruits from December to May. In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower and fruit in February and June.

Diagnostic characteristics: Subshrubs with pinnate, trifoliolate leaves, the leaflets lobed, orangish to reddish flowers with the wings bigger than the banner, the keel twisted 180º, reflexed legumes and seeds with an epihilum.

Conservation: Native-NE.
