Distribution: It occurs from Central America to Argentina ( Scalon et al. 2016) and in states of all regions in Brazil ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Céu Azul area.

Reproductive period: According to Scalon et al. (2016) it flowers and fruits practically the entire year. In ParNa Iguaçu it was found flowering in March.

Diagnostic characteristics: Subshrubs with pinnate leaves of 20–88 leaflets, pedicel with two bracteoles, yellow flowers, androecium with 10 fertile stamens and elastically dehiscent fruit.

Conservation: Native-NE.
