Distribution: The species is endemic to Brazil and occurs in all states of the South region, as well as São Paulo, Bahia, Pará, Distrito Federal and Mato Grosso ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in Santa Tereza do Oeste in the Céu Azul area.

Reproductive period: According to Romão & Souza (2016), it is found in flower from November to February and in fruit from November to April. In ParNa Iguaçu it was collected with flowers in November.

Diagnostic characteristics: Trees recognized by the pinnate leaves with 8–14, ovate to elliptical leaflets, flowers with yellow petals and large stamens with ellipsoidal nodules.

Conservation: Native-NE.

Selected examined material: BRAZIL. Paraná: Area 1, Santa Tereza do Oeste , 21 November, (fl.), L.H.S.M. Conceição 191 ( UNOP) .
