Distribution: According to Flores (2004) this species is native to the Paleotropics and is cultivated in Brazil, occurring in states of all regions ( Flora do Brasil 2020). In ParNa Iguaçu it occurs in the Céu Azul and Foz do Iguaçu areas.

Reproductive period: In ParNa Iguaçu it was found in flower and fruit in May.

Diagnostic characteristics: Subshrubs with palmate, trifoliolate leaves characterized by its ovate banner and pendulous legumes.

Conservation: Naturalized-NE.
