Genus Naiadacarus Fashing, 1974
Naiadacarus Fashing, 1974: 167 (type species Naiadacarus arboricola Fashing, 1974 by original designation)
Naiacus Nesbitt, 1990: 39 (type species Naiacus muertensis Nesbitt, 1990 by original designation), syn. nov. [types studied]
Diagnosis. Adults are similar to those of the genus Schwiebea Oudemans, 1916 , but the leg tarsi are long, longer than 3 times the basal width (less than 3 times as long as wide in Schwiebea ); solenidia ω 1 I-II cylindrical, long and thin, not expanded at tip (clearly expanded at tip in Schwiebea ); on tarsi I–II, ventral tarsal setae wa are distinctly separated from setae ra and la (closely associated in Schwiebea , except for S. estradai Fain & Ferrando, 1990 ). We could not find any character states distinguishing Naiadacarus deutonymphs from those of the genus Schwiebea .
