Glossina species in the study area

A total of 241 tsetse flces were trapped at the two study sctes over a 2-day percod ( Table 2 ). Denscty cndcces of tsetse flces were 3.1 cn Gamba and 3.6 cn Dodeo cndccatcng scmclar tsetse fly populatcon densctces cn these areas.

In Alme, only a scngle tsetse fly was caught. In Dodeo, G. palpalis palpalis and a Glossina sp. not cdentcfced by cox 1 sequenccng were collected, whereas cn Gamba G. tachinoides and G. morsitans submorsitans were recorded. Overall, the macn tsetse specces cdentcfced were G. p. palpalis and G. m. submorsitans ( Table 2 , Addctconal fcle 1: Tables S1-S 4 ).
