Material: Solomon Islands: 1 specimen (MNHNPy 1035), station CP1764, N/ O 'Alis' Campagne SALOMON 1, 08º36.6'S 160º07.4'E, 1327–1598 m; 27/09/2001, coll. Bouchet, Dayat, Warén, RicherIRD.

Remarks: This member of the Colossendeis macerrima complex has been recorded previously in this region by Stock (1991) and Bamber (2000; 2004), from 850 to 2110 m. It is a widely distributed IndoPacific species known also from the Northeast Atlantic, with a depth range of 850 to 4850 m.
