Type material. Holotype ɗ ( MNHN): KENYA - labeled “Kakamega equatorial forest, 11.x.2002, S. Prigent”. Paratypes: 2ɗ, same data as the holotype except for 11–23.x.2002 (1ɗ in NMK; 1ɗ in SCAU).

Etymology. From the Swahili word, meaning yellow, referring to the yellow legs.

Diagnosis. Aedeagal median rod deeply bifurcated from base, slightly sclerotized ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ); outer membranous tube with 4 sclerotized, furcated pieces per side ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ).

Description. Male: Eyes red-brown. Ocellar triangle black. Frons brown, with 2 rows of thick setae submedially. Fronto-orbital plate brown. Pedicel and first flagellomere almost yellow; arista plumose, not expanded apically. Face brown on upper 1/2, yellow on lower 1/2. Clypeus medially white-yellow, laterally brown. Gena and postgena brown. Palpus brown basally, grey-yellow distally. Thorax orange-yellow, with dark brown patches and pollinose pattern. Scutellum brown, yellow on basal corners. Legs entirely yellow; fore tarsomere V lacking long setae apically. Abdominal tergites I+II yellow medially, with black patches sublaterally; the rest black. Sternites slightly longer than respective width, III and IV with long setae laterally. Male terminalia: Epandrium mid-dorsally constricted, laterally broadened, with dense setae ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ). Surstylus with numerous setae and approximately 15 prensisetae on ventral margin of the inner surface ( Figs 6, 7 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ). Hypandrium with 1 pair of lobe-like processes laterally ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ). Vertical process of gonopods symmetrical, slightly sclerotized ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 6 – 8 ). Paramere slightly sclerotized, knobbed apically and with 9–10 sensilla basally Measurements. BL = 2.60 mm in the holotype (range in 2ɗ paratypes: 2.50–2.54); ThL = 1.20 mm (1.10–1.20); WL = 2.30 mm (2.22–2.30); WW = 1.05 mm (1.00–1.05). Indices: arb = 3/2 (3–4/2–3), avd = 0.70 (0.65–0.75), adf = 1.20 (1.20), flw = 1.50 (1.40–1.50), FW/HW = 0.45 (0.45), ch/o = 0.07 (0.07), prorb = 1.10 (1.10), rcorb = 0.65 (0.60–0.65), vb = 0.45 (0.45), dcl = 0.50 (0.45–0.50), presctl = 0.75 (0.70–0.80), sctl = 1.00 (1.00–1.10), sterno = 1.10 (1.10–1.15), orbito = 1.85 (1.70–1.85), dcp = 0.25 (0.25), sctlp = 1.20 (1.20), C = 2.00 (2.04–2.20), 4c = 1.50 (1.25–1.40), 4v = 2.45 (2.40), 5x = 1.00 (1.00), ac = 3.75 (3.13–3.50), M = 0.55 (0.50–0.55), C3F = 0.69 (0.64– 0.66).
