Diagnosis

Omorgus badeni is similar in appearance to O. borrei . It can be distinguished from the latter by the presence of round shiny black tubercles on the odd-numbered elytral costae. Omorgus borrei have the odd-numbered costae marked by distinct flat lustrous areas. For a more detailed treatment of O. badeni , see Scholtz (1990).

Geographic distribution

In Brazil, Omorgus badeni occurs in the BA, CE, PE and RN states (Caatinga biome) ( Figure 9 View Figure 9 ).
