Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman ( Guichard 1980; Hamer 1986, 1988; Pulawski 2007; Roche 2007; Murai & Amr 2011), Saudi Arabia ( Gadallah & Assery 2004b; Pulawski 2007; Gadallah et al. 2013), United Arab Emirates ( Roche 1981; Hamer 1986, 1988; Gillett & Gillett 2005; Pulawski 2007; Howarth & Gillett 2008; Straka & Schmid-Egger 2017), Yemen ( Bingham 1898 as Tachysphex psilopus Kohl, 1884 ).
Extralimital distribution: Africa south to Ghana and Kenya, Cyprus, Greece, Iran to Central Asia, southern Spain, Syria, Turkey, India.
