Diagnosis
Genus of the family Maenioceratidae with or without ventrolateral grooves; shell without constrictions or internal thickenings. External lobe very wide or extremely wide; E 2 lobe deep, cuneiform; ventrolateral saddle symmetrically rounded; lateral lobe V-shaped, angular.
Etymology
Named after the trident shape of the external lobe and the close relationship to Maenioceras .
