Genus Heteropsilopus Bigot, 1859 View in CoL View at ENA

This genus has been reported from Yunnan ( China), southern India, Australia and Sri Lanka. The presence of Heteropsilopus yunnanensis Liu, Zhu & Yang indicates the distribution of the genus might be wider than the previous assumption of Gondwanan origins ( Liu et al. 2012). However, no species of Heteropsilopus were found during this research. Diagnosis of the genus is available in Bickel (1994), which is mostly based on Australian species.
