Index Fungorum number: IF 558564; Faces of fungi number: FoF 09995

Etymology:—The specific epithet reflects the generic name of the host Peltophorum vogelianum (Fabaceae)

Holotype:— MFLU 21–0113 View Materials

Saprobic on dead twigs of Peltophorum vogelianum (Miq) Kurz. Sexual morph: undetermined. Asexual morph: Coelomycetous. Conidiomata 165–224 µm diam × 144–178 µm high (= 197 × 160 µm, n = 20), scattered to gregarious, erumpent, globose to sub-globose, coriaceous dark brown to black, surrounded by dark brown parenchymatous cells. Ostiole papillate, central, circular. Conidiomata wall 9–12 µm wide, composed of thick-walled, dark brown cells of textura angularis; inner layer thin, hyaline. Conidiophores usually reduced to conidiogenous cells. Conidiogenous cells 1–3.5 × 6.5–8 µm (= 2.2 × 7.2 µm, n = 55), phialidic, ampulliform to cylindrical, hyaline, smooth-walled. Conidia 2.0–3.0 × 3.0–4.0 μm (= 1.9 × 3.7 μm, n = 55), initially hyaline, becoming pale brown when mature, oblong to ovoid, straight, both ends broadly rounded, aseptate with two guttules, smooth-walled.

Culture characteristics: Conidia germinated on PDA within 24 hr. Colonies on PDA reaching 5.7 mm diam after 3 weeks at 20–25 °C, colonies medium sparse, circular, flat, surface slightly rough with edge entire, margin well-defined, cottony to fairly fury, colony from above dark brown three clearly visible layers.

Material examined: THAILAND, Chiang Rai Province, Mueang District, Mae Fah Luang University on dead twigs of Peltophorum vogelianum (Fabaceae) , 26th June 2020, P. Pasouvang, PS-81 (MFLU 21–0113, holotye), extype living culture (MFLUCC 21–0071).
