Homotypic synonym: Pinalia velutina (Lodd. ex Lindl.) Kuntze, Revis. View in CoL Gen . Pl. 2: 679, 1891.

Specimens examined:— TENASSERIM. Helfer s.n., Kew Distr. 5110 ( K, W-R 55064); same loc., Parish 64 ( K). Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 89), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Northeastern India, southern Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and western Malesia.
