Taunggyi District : 1450−1620 m, 30 Nov 2008, Tanaka et al. 080131 ( MBK, TI) ; same loc., Saw Lwin s.n. ( SING [s]) .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Upper Myanmar and southwestern China.

Notes:— Molecular studies confirmed that this taxon is better placed in a broadly defined Holcoglossum ( Xiang et al. 2012) . It was previously treated as Ascocentrum himalaicum , Vanda himalaica and more recently as Pendulorchis himalaica . Christenson (1987: 256) listed Kingdon-Ward 18339 (NY) as being from Myanmar, but the locality is in Manipur, India.
