Pachystoma nutans S.C.Chen & Luo, Acta Phytotax. Sin. 40: 174, 2002. Type:— MYANMAR. Shan State: Lashio District, 14 Apr 1921, Kingdon-Ward 3762 (holotype: E).

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : 245 m, 2 Mar 1910, Lace 5237 ( E, K) . CHIN. Mindat District : 1465 m, 12 Mar 1956, Kingdon-Ward 21786 ( BM) ; same loc., 600 m, 7 Mar 2006, Nagamasu et al. 035472 ( MBK) . SHAN. Lashio District : type . MON. Mawlamyine District : Mar 1898, Machado s.n. ( SING) , ident. uncertain.

Distribution:— Sri Lanka, India, the Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China, Taiwan and throughout Malesia to northern Australia and New Caledonia.

Notes:— The characters used to separate P. nutans are unconvincing in our opinion.
