Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 1220 m, 29 Jan 1931, Kingdon-Ward 9174 ( BM) .

Notes:— This belongs to the group comprising L. delicatula Hook. f., L. assamica , L. platyrachis Hook. f., L. perpusilla Hook. f. and Platystyliparis malipoensis G.D.Tang, X.Y.Zhuang & Z.J.Li , differing from all these species in the broadly lanceolate lip shape. More work is needed to show if this species falls into the variation of one of these or should better be described as new. However, the available material is poor, and a further examination will have to wait until plants are recollected.
