Distribution:— Sri Lanka, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina, southwestern and southern China and Malesia as far east as the Lesser Sunda Islands.

Specimens examined:— SHAN. Taunggyi District : type; same loc., 1250 m, 27 Feb 2014, Saw Lwin SL 31 ( RAF). WITHOUT LOCALITY. 3 Mar 1938, cult. Sander s.n. ( K) .

Distribution:— Endemic.

Dendrobium scabrilingue Lindl., J. Proc. Linn. Soc., Bot. 3: 15, 1858. Type :—‘BORNEO’ (probably Myanmar, Tenasserim). Imp. Veitch s.n. (holotype: K-LINDL)

Thaton District : Chin 6440 ( K) ; Mawlamyine District: type. WITHOUT LOCALITY. Rule 5396 & 5429 ( K) . Reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 75), but we have not seen material from this area .

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
