Specimens examined:— MANDALAY. Mandalay District: Swinhoe 26 ( K) . KAYIN. Thaungyin Valley: 120 m, Bogg s.n. in Maymyo Bot. Gard. 13536 ( K) . YANGON. Unspecified : Mar 1934, Dickason 5833 ( AMES) . TENASSERIM. Parish 333 (not located), fide Parish (1883: 193); same loc., Griffith s.n. ( K) . MON. Mawlamyine District : 1834, Griffith 349 ( K-LINDL) ; same loc., 1827, Wallich, Numer. List : no. 1996/2 ( K-W) . Reported from Rakhine State and Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 75), but we have not seen material from these areas.

Distribution:— Bangladesh, Myanmar, the Nicobar Islands, Thailand, Indochina and Malesia as far east as the Lesser Sunda Islands.

Dendrobium senile C.S.P.Parish & Rchb. f., Gard. Chron. 1865: 434, 1865. Type :— MYANMAR. Tenasserim: Parish 135 (holotype: K; isotype: W-R 40049 )

Homotypic synonym: Callista senilis (C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 655, 1891.

Specimens examined:— TENASSERIM. Type. Reported from Sagaing Region and Mon State by Kress et al. (2003: 75), but we have not seen material from these areas .

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
