Aerides crassifolia C.S.P.Parish ex Burb., Garden (London, 1871−1927) 3: 461, 1873. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State : Mawlamyine District, Apr 1872, Parish 146 (lectotype K, designated by Clayton 2017: 82; isolectotype: W-R 19786 ; icon. W-R 19789 )

Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Bhamo District: Foerstermann 58 & 65 ( W). MANDALAY. Myingyan District: 1200–1500 m, 8 May 2005, Khin Myo Htwe 14 ( TNS [s]), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 71); same loc., 1 Jun 2006, Tanaka et al. 036165 ( MBK), fide Tanaka et al. (2015: 71). MON. Mawlamyine District: type. Also reported from Shan and Kayin states by Saw Lwin (2007: 248), but we have not seen any material from these areas.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and Indochina.
