Heterotypic synonym: Acampe thailandica Seidenf., Contr. Orchid Fl. Thailand 13: 49, 1997.

Specimens examined:—? MYANMAR. Type. MANDALAY. Myingyan District : 1200−1500 m, 30 Mar 2006, Khin Myo Htwe 102 ( MBK [s], TNS, TNS [s]), fide Tanaka et al. (2011: 162); same loc., 12 May 2007, Tanaka et al. 051156 ( MBK, TNS [s]) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : 1250 m, 28 Feb 2014, Saw Lwin SL 34 , photo .

Distribution:— Myanmar and Thailand.

Note:— Seidenfaden (1988: 96) speculated that the origin of this plant was Myanmar (as Staurochilus joiceyanus ). He later described it as Acampe thailandica ( Seidenfaden 1997: 49) , which is now considered conspecific with A. joiceyana .
