Specimens examined:— KACHIN. Putao District : 1525 m, 18 Sep 1926, Kingdon-Ward 7420 ( K). WITHOUT LOCALITY. Toppin 2736 ( E) .

Distribution:— The eastern Himalayas, northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Indochina and southwestern and southern China.

Note:— Kingdon-Ward 7420 needs to be confirmed.

Calanthe kermodei Ormerod & Kurzweil, Rheedea 28: 1, 2018. Type:— MYANMAR. Kachin State: Myitkyina District , 2440 m, 24 Apr 1938, Kermode 17210 (holotype: AMES; isotype: K)

Calanthe labrosa (Rchb.f.) Hook.f., Fl. Brit. India 5: 856, 1890 [non Rchb.f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 19: 44, 1883, nom. inval.]

Basionym : Limatodis labrosa Rchb. f., Gard. Chron., n.s., 11: 202, 1879. Type :— MYANMAR. Mon State: Mawlamyine District, Jan 1879, Veitch’s collector s.n. (holotype: W, drawing) .

Homotypic synonyms: Calanthidium labrosum (Rchb.f.) Pfitzer, Nat . Pflanzenfam. 2 (6): 153, 1889. Alismorkis labrosa (Rchb.f.) Kuntze, Revis. Gen . Pl. 2: 650, 1891. Preptanthe labrosa (Rchb.f.) T.Yukawa & P.J.Cribb, Bull. Natl. Mus . Nat . Sci., Tokyo, ser. B, 40: 146, 2014.

Specimens examined:— SAGAING. Hkampti District : 1380 m, 26 Nov 2017, Abbot et al. 27951 ( NY) . SHAN. Taunggyi District : fide Nyan Tun (2014: 90; as Calanthe succedanea ) . MON. Mawlamyine District : type; same loc., 1889, Veitch s.n. ( K) ; same loc., Alsterlund 383 ( C) . Also reported from Tanintharyi Region by Kress et al. (2003: 68), but we have not seen material from this area.

Distribution:— Myanmar, Thailand and southwestern China.

Note:— Identified as C. succedanea Gagnep. by Nyan Tun (2014: 90) but instead a dark pink form of C. labrosa .
